Reggaetón star Yandel has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for worldwide representation in all areas, Billboard has learned. The move is the latest in Yandel’s solo career bid, which he officially launched a year ago when he and longtime collaborator Wisin decided to each go solo after 14 years as Wisin & Yandel.
Last November, Yandel’s solo debut, “De Líder a Leyenda” (Sony Music Latin), debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart. His first solo tour included performances in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston and Las Vegas, ending with shows at the House of Blues in Orlando and the Filmore in Miami Beach in June.
More Yandel
As a lead solo act, Yandel has had two No. 1s on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart—”Hable de Ti” and “Hasta Abajo.” Those two also reached the top 10 of the Hot Latin Songs chart, along with “Moviendo Caderas.”

Now, Yandel joins a roster of CAA Latin music acts that includes Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias.
Yandel spent 14 years as part of Wisin & Yandel, the most successful and established reggaetón duo in the market. Wisin also launched his solo career last year, releasing his solo debut—also on Sony—this past April.
As a duo, Wisin & Yandel were represented by The Relentless Agency. The two have continued to fulfill their contractual obligations as a duo.
