Following a pairing last year where Anna Kendrick joined K-pop girl group f(x), Funny or Die has revealed another east-meets-west celebrity skit brings British songbird/Jay Z protege Rita Ora and K-pop superstar/PSY’s “Gangnam Style” co-star HyunA.
As the sex symbols note in their “Girl, You Better Work” video — in which HyunA pulls out some impressive English skills — there’s a lot of differences between the stars. “In many ways our cultures are very different, but as singers we have one thing in common: walking!”
Ora adds, “Walking is the cornerstone of pop music all over the world, which is why singers need to have so many different walks at their disposal.” This leads to the gals getting their catwalk on to outdo one another in everything from sexy struts to wacky waddles like Ora’s “cake walk” or HyunA’s “diamond fantasy walk.”

The ladies are soundtracked by the quirky, electronic dance track “Whatcha Doin Today” by 4Minute, the Korean girl group HyunA is a member of. The track hit No. 4 on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100. The clip concludes with HyunA adorably teaching Ora a bit of the choreography from the video.

The collaboration likely came as a result of HyunA coming stateside when she hit Austin to perform at SXSW this year. Regarding a further American advancement, the singer’s reps told Billboard that there were some developments, but they are focused on promoting 4Minutes’ new EP “4Minute World” that features “Whatcha Doin Today?”
Meanwhile, Ora revealed her new single, the Calvin Harris-produced “I Will Never Let You Down,” on Monday that leads off her upcoming sophomore album.
